Vice President of Client Partnerships

Chris Asa serves as Vice President of Client Partnerships. In this role, he is responsible for building, cultivating, and soliciting major and principal level gifts from donors; working closely with the collectives in the west coast region; and developing engagement, cultivation and stewardship strategies to maximize growth within each collective. Asa has over two decades of executive experience spanning the radio broadcast and collegiate sports landscape, including ticket and sponsorship sales, marketing, fundraising and administration. Most recently serving as Associate AD for Development at Cal State University, Bakersfield Athletics, he developed the fundraising strategy for the department and led the team to record-high giving to the Roadrunner Scholarship Fund, including growing the fund from $630,000 to over $1 million in just two years’ time. Overall giving to the department also increased each year of his tenure.


He’s also overseen fundraising and revenue growth at a variety of universities including Florida State, Florida A&M, and Cal Poly Pomona. Asa loves college athletics and is passionate about creating both educational and economic opportunity for student-athletes all over the country. He’s an active member of NAADD and has served as Big West Conference representative and as a mentor in the Earl Edwards Minority Student-Athlete Development program. A family man, Chris is married to Casey and together they have 2 children, Jude, age 13 and Kennedy, age 9. When not going to sporting events or traveling, in his spare time, Asa is an award-winning homebrewer.
