Jan 30, 2024

The partnership will include a new fan membership program and additional resources

(Salt Lake City, UT) Jan. 30, 2024 – Crimson Collective announced today that it has joined the Blueprint Sports (BPS) family of collectives to add more infrastructure and resources to its ongoing Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) support for University of Utah student-athletes. Crimson Collective, the collective supporting Utah student-athletes, joins the industry leader in full-service NIL collectives to provide an elevated level of service for Utes student-athletes, fans and alumni.

“It is a high priority of the Utah Athletics Department to support NIL opportunities for our student-athletes at the absolute highest level, and by partnering with Blueprint Sports, the Crimson Collective is in the best position to do that,” said University of Utah Athletics Director Mark Harlan. “We are incredibly appreciative of the Crimson Collective for the opportunities it has provided for our student-athletes to maximize their NIL and engage with our community. With Blueprint Sports, the Collective is poised for significant growth, and we encourage our great fans to join them in support of our student-athletes’ NIL opportunities and help grow the Crimson Collective into one of the best in the country.”

As part of its next chapter, Crimson Collective will launch a new membership program for fans alongside refreshed branding in the coming weeks. Members will gain exclusive access to content, events, merchandise and more. The partnership will also bring enhanced corporate sponsorship options for businesses looking to partner with student-athletes to promote products or services. The collective will continue to offer tax-deductible donations through its 501c3 organization.

“Our partnership with an industry-leader like Blueprint Sports allows us to increase our level of service to our fans, supporters and most importantly, our student-athletes,” said Crimson Collective Board President Matt Garff. “The Crimson Collective will only increase its impact as we continue to grow and support NIL opportunities for our student-athletes.”

“The Crimson Collective is a leading organization in terms of creativity and innovation when it comes to supporting the student-athletes of the University of Utah,” said Blueprint Sports CEO Rob Sine. “I have long been impressed with the athletics program at the University of Utah since my time at the Pack-12 Conference, and now I have great admiration for the Crimson Collective. As the CEO of Blueprint Sports, I see this as an excellent opportunity for us to work together and take the collective to the next level.”

The collective will be managed by a team of full-time, local staff of dedicated professionals to run day-to-day operations, fundraising campaigns, corporate partnerships, athlete engagements and more, with additional support from Blueprint Sports’ national team of experts. Crimson Collective’s Maddie Hansen will continue in her current role as Director of Student-Athlete Relations. The collective is actively hiring a Director of Development.
