Social Media Manager

He/she will handle the tactical management of all social media marketing, including strategy, calendarization, and execution across Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Tik Tok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and more. The ideal candidate is a social networking enthusiast with experience in creating, updating, and monitoring social media channels and measuring the effectiveness of those channels through KPI and reporting tools. This individual will be part of our in-house marketing team and is expected to maintain robust online communities using a broad collection of online content delivery vehicles. The social media manager will also, at times, capture photography and video for social purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with our Management Team to create a social strategy for the Blueprint Sports brand
  • Manage presence on social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other similar community sites, reputation management, and seeding content into social applications as needed
  • Handle day-to-day content creation and management, develop and execute distribution strategies and constantly optimize for performance
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results
  • Monitor trends in social media tools and best practices
  • Work effectively within the marketing team
  • Monitor and present reports defining progress, identify problems and solutions
  • Capture photography and video as needed to support marketing efforts
  • Use creative writing skills to support general needs to write copy

Qualifications, Skills, and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years of marketing and social media experience, some of which focused on delivering innovation and brand strategy across digital/new media networks
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications to edit photo, video, and graphic assets for use in social media
  • Working knowledge of social networking sites such as Tik Tok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities and quickly implement solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, organization, and planning skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with business and IT resources
  • Capable and driven to learn new technologies and continually upgrade the current skillset quickly
  • Must be very flexible and able to work in a self-directed, rapidly changing environment
  • Experience working across digital media and creative, drawing connections between the brand identity and marketing objectives to inform differentiated and influential new media programs that engage customers, increase awareness and spark advocacy
